New Fuel Cell and Corrosion Control Hangar for the California Air National Guard. This hangar’s main truss is a box truss 6 feet wide by 11 feet tall and 172 feet long, and weighs 64 tons. There were seven roof trusses 11 feet tall and 100 feet long, weighing 16 tons each.
The main truss had to be supported at mid-span to maintain camber until all connections, including the haunches below the truss connecting it to the trussed box columns were completed.
