Mono County’s new Civic Center is a two story, 31,000 square foot structure comprised of concrete tilt-up panelized walls. This required the 297 tons of structural steel to be erected and tied in to embedded steel plates or anchors in these panelized walls. This project also utilized open web joists for the second-floor framing with bolted shear tabs, as well as a pitched roof and 67’-0” of cantilevered framing for the entry canopy.
