The SF Ambulance Deployment Facility is a new four-story, 44,000 square foot, seismically safe building, that supplements the city’s existing emergency medical infrastructure. The project also provides a steel-framed two-level parking structure that provides access for emergency vehicles to the second floor. A total of 402 tons of steel were required to be erected and installed. The project required column splices and the installation and welding-in-place of Buckling Restrained Braces (BRB’s).
