Elevated Solar Photovoltaic Tracker System San Ramon, CA and Danville, CA

New construction – This project included solar photovoltaic systems at five schools: California HS, Dougherty Valley HS, San Ramon Valley HS, Monte Vista HS, and Diablo Vista MS. These solar panels are mounted on top of carport structural steel frames over existing vehicle parking and are motor-driven to rotate to follow the sun’s path. We also installed structural steel framing on the rooftops of two San Ramon Valley HS buildings, connecting to the building’s structure. These five systems are comprised of more than 10,000 panels and the height of the support structures range from 12 feet to 18 feet high. First Year Expected Output: 6.2 million kWh/year overall at all 5 schools. The system will generate roughly 2/3 of the electricity required to run these five schools.
