New Construction
The new two-story Student Recreation and Aquatics Center at San Jose State comprises a 120,000 square foot gymnasium along with a 40,000 square foot outdoor aquatics deck supporting two 50-meter pools. It includes a weight and fitness center, exercise rooms, rock climbing wall and support space for campus sports club organizations.
Structural steel framing includes eleven 104 foot long x 12 foot deep trusses, shipped in two sections and field-spliced together, weighing up to 94,000 pounds total.
